If I had to describe Mom in one word it would be determined. She was determined to survive and not lose our family after a serious illness and the loss of our dad at an early age. She was determined to raise two boys in a loving and disciplined environment (not easy). She was determined to have a home and provide an education for us. She was determined to help not only John and me get a start in life financially but also to help all of her grandchildren. Everything I have and am I owe to Mom.
