Grandma Hazel, as I came to call her, is the quintessential grandmother. She is all about love and acceptance. Warm hugs, sweet kisses, and singing are pieces of her I remember and cherish. She always makes me feel special and welcomed with wide open arms that feel as if they are just for me.
I learned much about love, steadfastness, and generosity from her. She is also a very strong woman with much will, a keen wit, and a clever mind; Grandma has always taken a hold of things and got them done. I'm certain that in many circumstances she was a force to be reckoned with, but for me, her granddaughter, it was all softness and warm, radiating smiles.
