In the summer of 2003, Bev asked her daughter, Kate, to go with her on a cruise of the Baltic Sea.

The cruise lasted three weeks and docked in seven different countries: Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Estonia, and Germany.

After the cruise, they spent a few days in London and saw The Lion King.

The only hitch was when the battery ran out in Copenhagen, and Kate had to push Bev on the scooter for a mile over cobblestones back to the ship.
